Version 2.0+ Installation Problem

SOFTPraise Deluxe II Installation Issue: Cannot register "C:\WINDOWS\system32\stdole2.tlb"

Due to changes in Windows some users have reported problems when trying to install SOFTPraise Deluxe II on to computers that are running Windows XP.  SOFTPraise has produced a downloadable file that can correct this issue, however the steps outlined below must be followed.  Please follow the below directions if you have received the error as follows, "Cannot register 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\stdole2.tlb'". 

Step 1:  Insert SOFTPraise Deluxe II installation disk into your computer's CD/DVD drive.  If the installation routine begins to run automatically after the disk is inserted please cancel the installation.

Step2:  Download and run this file, SOFTPraise II Installation Error.

Step3:  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.  (Please note that you will still need to complete your registration, at this site http://softpraise.com/spdiireg.html.)
